Mackinac Island Community Foundation trustees and staff are pleased to share news of recent scholarship decisions totaling $89,937 supporting students graduating from Mackinac Island Public School. This year was notable as the 15th anniversary of the Founder’s Scholarship at MICF, a multi-year scholarship for students who have attended Mackinac Island Public School for from the 8th through 12th grades, and plan to attend college, university or trade school. Since 2016, the Founder’s Fund Scholarship has awarded over $412,000, including the grants made to this year’s MIPS graduates.
The following awards were presented to students by Executive Director, Stephanie McGreevy, at the Mackinac Island Public School’s Academic Awards Ceremony on Monday, May 19.
