Youth philanthropy

Our Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) is composed of Mackinac Island Public School students and adult mentors who review and allocate grant dollars to programs on Mackinac Island that affect youth. To guide their strategic grantmaking, MICF conducts a Youth Community Needs Assessment survey periodically to determine various youth-oriented needs in the community.

To join YAC, Island students may submit their YAC waiver to Sara Hancock, Administrative Assistant and YAC Co-Advisor.
